Category Display Not Working

So this link – http://fwatest.org/event-archive/category/2014/ – should technically generate any event in the category 2014, right? I’m trying to find an easy way to display events by year (this will be an event archive).

I thought I’d figured out a simple, code-free work around by using categories (and then creating links in the sidebar). The slug is simply “2014”…. shouldn’t it work?

Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to view any Event Category archive using the following URL structure: ‘YOUR_MAIN_CALENDAR_URL/category/CATEGORY_SLUG/’ where YOUR_MAIN_CALENDAR_URL is the URL of your main events page, and CATEGORY_SLUG is the slug of the Event Category that you wish to view.

It’s OK. I actually removed the categories and am using other methods.
