I go to this URL: http://stmaryriverside.org/calendar/events/category/school/
and I see a perfectly filtered calendar (currently no events, but there are events at http://stmaryriverside.org/calendar/events/category/parish/).
However, when I advance to August (http://stmaryriverside.org/calendar/events/category/school/2015-08/), I see ALL events, both Parish and School. HOWEVER, if you plug the url in above directly into the the URL bar, it returns a perfectly valid calendar.
It seem like there is a problem with the AJAX loading of the month’s events, because if I advance using the controls on the page, it “resets” the category filter. However, if I go directly the URL’s it works perfectly still.
I should mention I was not having any issues before the most recent update.
Thoughts?
Thank you,

Sorry for the issues with this. I can help out.
I took a look at your site from the links and see the issue. I was also able to replicate it on my test site.
So it looks like this is a bug in the plugin.
I have create a ticket for us to address this immediately, but I do not have a timeline when we might have a fix right now.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

I am experiencing a similar issue. When I access this URL I see a filtered month view: http://dallascenterforphotography.com/classes/category/spot-class/. However if I use the month navigation, the resulting month view is no longer filtered. Because of the customization I’ve done, you’ll only see blank space with a line beneath it for the events that shouldn’t show up, but if you hover over the blank space you’ll see there is an event there.
I tried an alternative approach using tribe_exclude_events_category found here (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/hide-category-from-calendar-views/). The results are the same.
http://dallascenterforphotography.com/classes/The issue does seem to be AJAX related. For example, if I directly access the August page via URL, the result is as expected. However if I arrive on the August calendar via the “Next month” navigation which uses AJAX, the category filter doesn’t work.
