ParticipantHi,
Our ticket functionality stopped working after upgrading to the latest version of Event Tickets Plus.
To rule out plugin conflicts, I disabled all other plugins. To rule out theme issues, I set the theme to a WP default. To check that it is in fact an issue with the latest release of Event Tickets Plus, I restored to a previous version of the site and upgraded the plugins one by one to see what plugin was causing the issue.
Here’s the error message: Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to string in /nas/content/staging/installname/wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/includes/download-functions.php on line 189
The error gives the appearance that it’s an issue with EDD, but the functionality broke only when I updated Event Tickets Plus.
Please advise.
Thank you!

MemberHi, Betsy. Awesome job troubleshooting!
Thanks so much for reporting this and for being so detailed.
We were able to replicate this so the bug has been logged, and I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. I’d guess that it’d be sometime this month (but I cannot guarantee that).
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

ParticipantNo help to offer, but does anyone know exactly when this bug was introduced? In other words, what previous version of ETP would work with EDD?
I had previously downloaded and used ETP 4.2.0, but might there be something between that and 4.3.4 that would be safe to use until the fix is in?
Thanks

Member@barback, I can share that this particular bug was logged internally 10 days ago and is scheduled to be fixed soon.
However, I cannot guarantee any prior versions were completely bug-free for EDD, especially in combination with the latest version of Event Tickets core/free plugin.
I hope this helps in some way.
