ParticipantHey there!
Im importing events rom a XML source. Works quite well so far. However, there is a problem:
I cant change the template to “full width” in the settings. I can select the full width template via pulldown, but it reseted after I hit the save button.Furthermore: When I import the venueID (151851…) and build a new event, the venue address is shown, but no map. The Google map link works, but the field containing the map is empty. If I set up the event by hand, the venue map is shown.
Last point:
How can I choose between different event-calendar-templates? As mentioned above, Im using XML all import. Where can I find further information on template selection? My “setup”
– Venue X template
– events calendar pro
– WP all importThanks a lot for your help!
Best regards

MemberHi.
Importing via WordPress XML importer or a third-party XML importer may not fire the actions that trigger the geolocation API lookup.
If you don’t see a wp-admin notice about venues missing geolocation information, you could delete the _tribe_geoloc_fixed option in your database and then it should appear.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberYou might try playing with this setting: wp-admin > Events > Settings > Display tab > “Events template” option — to see if changing it makes things work better for you.
If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest asking your theme author how-to for the tribe_events custom post type archive view.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey therem thanks for your fast reply Cliff.
1. Google maps issue: I removed _tribe_geoloc_fixed from my database entierly after setting ist from 1 to 0.
That did not help. I still import the ‘venue ID’ and its “connected” to my events properly, but the map does not show up.
– Btw: Not importing the ‘venue ID’ at all and setting a standard venue did not help. So, there is still something missing. Like you said: maybe there is a flag that has to be changed or some field I cant see.
Im working in the blind: I cant see all the event calendar’s custom fields: Only those that are presented after a test import I set up earlier. So I cant tell if there is still a missing field here. maybe you can help me here by giving me an overview over all the custom fields.2. I forwarded the info
Now i’ve to be honest with you: I did not check child theme settings before I opened the ticket. “Optimize events calendar settings” would have been a good way for me to start looking.
But! I still want the import to choose between templates. So I asked them anyway.March 26, 2018 at 1:28 pm #1488939Cliff
MemberRemoving that option from your database should cause it to display a “Fix venues data” button near the bottom of the General tab.
