Can't see Previous Month's event entries

I can’t see the previous month’s calendar event entries when i click on the previous month link over in the lower left-hand corner from the Calendar view. I know I have previous events, but they are not showing up. I’ve read an article at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/past-events-not-being-displayed that discusses this, but I’d prefer not to alter your code in case I mess it up. Thank you in advance for your help.

It’s possible you’re hitting up against a known bug here that may be resolved in the next maintenance release.

However, if you want to proactively troubleshoot this in the meantime can you confirm if the same problem arises with no other plugins running and only a default, unmodified theme running (such as Twenty Twelve)?
