ParticipantHello,
New PRO user after having free installed for a short time.
I’ve enabled my additional fields as URLs but can’t save the URLs when entered. Also when trying to save a new event I get that event can’t be found after I update and try to preview.
I hope someone can help. Thanks. –Ray.April 15, 2014 at 3:19 pm #133553Barry
MemberHi Ray,
We’d love to help if we can ๐
Ideally we’d stick to one issue per thread – so let’s deal with the additional fields issue here and if you could create a new thread for the problem when saving new events that would be awesome.
Iโve enabled my additional fields as URLs but canโt save the URLs when entered.
I’m not completely sure what is going wrong – do you mean the URL is basically wiped from that field as soon as you save? If so, can you give an example of the sort of URL you are entering?
It would also be fantastic if you could confirm whether or not this happens with no other plugins activated (except for The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO) and only a default, unmodified theme running (such as Twenty Thirteen).
Let us know!

ParticipantYes, the URL is “wiped” as I update the event.
I can see about turning of other plugins and defaulting the theme. Let me do some screenshots, so I can return things to current settings. I’ll update soon.
Thanks.

ParticipantSame behaviour with all (other) plugins deactivated and Twenty Thirteen theme enabled.

MemberHod odd – I just don’t see the same thing locally and we haven’t seen other reports of this, to the best of my knowledge. Can you give an example of the text you are trying to add in that field?

ParticipantI updated WordPress, updated (even my inactive) plugins, activated all the plugins I want to use and crossed my fingers…it worked.
Thanks. You can see what I’m trying to do here: http://www.owensoundribfest.com if I can get it working and looking good. I will register another domain and upgrade to a multiple license and repeat.
Take care.

MemberHow strange, but awesome you got everything working in the end ๐
I’ll go ahead and close this one out – thanks again!
