Can't remove Facebook and Google+ share buttons from events page

Since updating to vs 3.11.1 of Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro I find that share buttons for Facebook and Google+ now appear on the individual Event page. I don’t want them there right now and I can’t figure out how to remove them.​

I turn them off in the theme settings by unchecking them and saving changes, but that doesn’t seem to have any effect and if I log out and then log back in the check marks are back for Facebook and Google + even though I removed them and saved the change.

Can you please help me. I tried to search this in the Forums and Knowledgebase, but none of my searches answered my questions regarding this.

I am using VamTam’s Church and Events Theme (child) which came with Evens Calendar. I have purchased Events Calendar Pro for the recurrence feature.

This is my first attempt a using WordPress and I would appreciate very much your help with this problem.

I checked out http://www.wacoc.org and was unable to find buttons that linked to Facebook or Google Plus like you mentioned – is this the website where you have this problem? If not, can you link directly to the site whose events have these buttons displaying?

Perhaps that is the right URL, but you’ve deactivated the plugin or something – if this is the case, can you re-activate the plugin that adds those sharing buttons and let us know? We’ll take another look.

The reason I’m interested in seeing the buttons on your site directly is because I think, unfortunately, that the only way to always hide these buttons on Single Events is with a bit of custom CSS, so if I can see the buttons live I’ll share some CSS you can use to hide them 🙂

Thank you for your speedy reply. I also posed the question to the theme developer and he gave me the custom CSS to correct the problem. You must have looked at the site after I implemented his fix.

I wasn’t sure who to ask for help, so I asked you both.
