ParticipantI have bought and installed the Woo Commerce plugin but it doesn’t have an option to pay with credit card like I thought it did. I thought the paypal option would allow clients to buy using their credit card without having to login or create a paypal account. Is that correct? Please let me know.
you can check it by going to the page below and click on “add to cart” at the bottom:

ParticipantHowdy Subhi,
I would love to help you with that.
So all of the payments and everything is handled by WooCommerce itself, not our plugin (WooCommerce Tickets). So when looking for documentation and support for that stuff the WooCommerce website is where you want to be. Specifically this article helps walk you through setting up the PayPal payment gateway (click here).
That article dives into to detail and you’ll likely want to read all of it. But in short in order to accept Credit Cards you have to sign up with a Payment Processor. These typically cost money. PayPal for instance offers a credit card payment processor for $30/mo, it’s called PayPal Payments Pro (click here). If you’ve signed up with PayPal or another payment processor that helps you accept credit cards, then you dial that info into your Woo settings as outlined in the above guide. Once it’s all setup you can accept credit cards! Not though, when accepting credit cards it is usually best to also purchase an SSL certificate for your website and get it setup.
Anyways I hope that information gets you started in the right direction. Setting up your own online store can be a bit of investment, both in time, research, and monthly fees.
Please let me know if you have any questions specific to our plugin, WooCommerce Tickets. Cheers!

ParticipantBrook, I have already bought a license for Woo Commerce Tickets from you, and on your website they say they accepted credit cards. (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-wootickets/). It says on your website; The free WooCommerce plugin comes with six basic options: Direct Bank Transfer, Check, Cash on Delivery, Credit Card (via Mijireh) and PayPal. Can you please clarify that.
Thank you,

ParticipantHowdy Subhi,
WooCommerce does accept all of those and many more. But, as outlined above in order to accept any kind of payment you have to setup WooCommerce with a payment gateway. This is all part of setting up WooCommerce, or any other online shopping cart.
It sounds like this was not clear to you though. Typically users who purchase WooCommerce Tickets have already setup a WooCommerce store, and are just interested in selling tickets as well through it. You do not sound like you are in that boat. Does the setup/fees of running your own store not sound like something you’re interested in now that you understand them? We can definitely refund or exchange WooCommerce Tickets.
You might be interested in Eventbrite Tickets as you do not have to setup an ecommerce store. Rather Eventbrite (a third party) already has the store set up and lets you sell tickets through them for a fee. It is typically easier to setup Eventbrite and requires less knowledge of how to run an online store.
Let me know if I can clarify anything else, or expound on anything I already mentioned. Thanks Subhi!
