I have read the many posts which all say the exact same thing for how to check in tickets at your event from a QR reader but it is not enough detail for me. Such as it says log in from the QR reader app but what am I logging in to? just my wordpress site, or a specific ticketing area? I have tried everything. The ticket scans but just takes me to the ticket page in no way acknowledges it or marks it as used. I have tried 2 apps quick scan (QR) and wooevents. neither has worked for me. I have a license for event ticket plus in my woocommerce portion of my wordpress site. We will be checking tickets in next weekend using multiple staff smart phones and I need a clear simple way to do that. Any advice?

How to check in using Ticket Plus’s QR Codes:
Get an App for your phone or tablet that can read QR codes (Scan for IOS<span class=”Apple-converted-space”> </span>is an example)
Setup the Scanner App to open in a browser or in the app itself (I used Chrome as my browser with the app and signed in there)
In either sign into your site with at least a author level account or create a special account with edit_posts and read capabilities (User Role Editor is an easy plugin to do this with)
Scan the QR Code and you will get a success message such as “This Ticket with ID xxxx was checked in.”
If you are just seeing the event page with no success message it does not recognize you as logged in.
Also, check Safari cookie settings. Make sure that cookies are set to “Always allow”.

    Howdy Harmony,

Sorry for the confusion. I would love to help you with this.

The missing step here is to visit your website on your phone or tablet and login with your account. Now you’re ready to scan. Go to your QR app, scan the code, and the code will take you back to your web browser. Only now that you’re logged in, instead of taking you to the event page it will take you to the backend page where you can check people in.

    Did that work?

    Cheers!

Thank you for your response. Yes am already logged into the admin side of my website on my phone and my qr ticket scan is still just taking me to the event page on my website. Any other suggestions as our event is 2 days away:(

Good to know, thanks for double checking. What QR app are you using? Do you have an Android or an iOS device?

    Thank you!

I noticed the following in its features section:

    – Open web links and map locations directly in the app

What this means is that it doesn’t use your built-in web browser. So even if you’re logged-in on Safari, you won’t be logged into the website inside of this app. You will need to relogin inside of this app if the app lets you do that (some clear cookies, preventing permanent login). Or, you could try a different app that opens links inside of Safari. I only have Androids personally so I am not able to make a recommendation on iPhone apps, but if you’d like one I will certainly check with the team when they’re online. Does one of the above options allow you to checkin now?

    Cheers!
