Can't get google to work on Word Press

I’ve tried it 20 times…

Log in Google, make my calendar public, copy iCal weblink

Go to Word Press, select import, scheduled, Google Calendar, paste iCal weblink and get this:

There was an error fetching the results from your import: Events could not be imported. The URL provided did not have events in the proper format.
