Can't add a link to my calendar, thus it doesn't appear on my website

I am using The Events Calendar Version 3.12.5

The installation instructions state:

“To add a link to your calendar, click View All in the Events meta box. At the top of the list you’ll see an option for Events. Check the box and then click Add to Menu.”

There is not an option to “View All” in the Events meta box. When I click on the drop down for the box it says “No Items”. I can see the calendar under Events -> View Calendar, but there is not an option to add the link to publish it on my website.

What am I missing?

Having said that if you are using the WordPress Menu you can add a custom link to the event view.

The default url is yoursite.com/events/
