ParticipantI did not see this specific issue in prior posts.
First: WP 3.9.1, TEC 3.5.2, TEC Pro 3.5.2I’ve created several series of recurring events. In almost all instances, the event that is the first in the series gives mixed signals about what is happening. When I select “edit single” for the first in the series, I see the “split off” warning panel and click OK. When I am editing the event details, it indicates that I am editing all occurrences of the event. When I save, only that instance has actually been edited, but the indicator in the Events lists still shows that the event is part of a recurring series. I get the results I want, but I don’t get any indication that I did.
I can “edit single” all subsequent occurrences in the series and the indicators are not ambiguous. I’m not looking for answers here, but am including my observations in hopes that it helps resolve the remaining problems with your recurrence implementation.

MemberHmm, puzzling. Here’s what I tried locally – can you confirm if I should be able to replicate using these steps?
- Created a set of recurring events running July 1 daily until July 4
- Edited the July 1 event via the Edit Single link
- Was presented with a warning that it would be split off and clicked ok
- Within the editor it did not indicate that I was editing a recurring event and all worked as expected
Is there anything I’d have to do differently to see what you described?
Thanks!

ParticipantThe only thing I can think of is that my recurring series were generally once a week for 20 weeks, therefore spanning several months.

MemberI think you’re right, I can see it now (I didn’t have sufficient events in the sequence I set up to replicate this initially). Can you try updating to our latest builds (3.6) and see if that helps?

ParticipantI’ve updated but it may be a while before I have another long-term recurring event. I’ll post results when I do.

MemberDefinitely, please do 🙂
I’ll close this thread but if this does resurrect itself please just create a new thread and we’ll look into it (but hopefully, of course, there will be no problem).
Thanks again.
