ParticipantHello,
I have just paid for Events Tickets Plus to upgrade it from WooTickets. I have downloaded it to my Mac but I cannot find the zip file as mentioned in the read me doc so that I can install it. See below:
“When the popup appears select the event-tickets-plus.x.x.zip file from your desktop. (The ‘x.x’ will change depending on the current version number).”
Where is the zip fie so that I can install this plug in?
Thanks.

ParticipantAlso – some basic questions, but these are not answered anywhere I can see:
1. Do I need to deactivate WooTickets before or after installing Event Tickets Plus?
2. I have several events currently running with tickets being sold – will changing over to Events Tickets Plus affect these? Thanks again.

MemberGood morning Lea and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have been facing in the process of upgrading to Event Tickets Plus. I would love to help you with this topic.
I believe you will find most of your answers here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/

Before going through this, there are 2 things I would highly recommend:
- Make a complete Database backup
- To move to Event Tickets Plus, you might want to have a “Maintenance page” plugin active to ensure customers don’t get “caught” in the upgrade process.
But normally, your current tickets should migrate perfectly.
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantHello Geoff,
Thanks for the link, it’s got part way to helping, however it still does not tell me which file within the Event Tickets Plus folder I need to install on the backend of my website in order to upload the plug in.
The read me files says I should be installing a zip file but all I see are php files.Could you advise please?

MemberGood evening James,
Thank you for writing back.
You have 2 options:
- You simply add the downloaded .zip file as is within WordPress’ built-in “Add plugin” interface (look for the button at the top)
- You can copy the whole unzipped folder via your FTP client
Both methods are well explained here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downloading-and-installing-the-plugin/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThanks for that advice. I can see that the problem lay with my Mac which automatically unzipped the folder. SO I had to right-click on the folder to compress it again, turning it back to a zip file. Now the installation has worked fine.
