I’m really sorry to hear about these issues!
Do you have FTP access to your site?
I am not sure what happened here, but it sounds like the best route forward would be to do the following things:
- Log into your server via FTP
- DELETE any /the-events-calendar folder in /wp-content/plugins — this will not delete any actual events content you’ve made yet.
- DELETE any /events-calendar-pro folders in /wp-content/plugins — this will not delete any actual events content you’ve made yet.
- Once both things are deleted, download a fresh copy of The Events Calendar directly from wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
- Install that freshly-downloaded version on your site
- Activate the newly-installed version The Events Calendar
☝️ How do things go when you do this? Stop after activating the newly-installed version of The Events Calendar and let us know how things go. We can proceed with installing Events Calendar Pro from there only if things go well!
