    I have been trying for the last 2+ months to get Aggregator to import Facebook events from my page, only to keep receiving the message:

    There was an error fetching the results from your import: Unknown service message

    I have tried everything. From updating the API, to inputting multiple URLs for my page (jtfcomedy, events, etc.). Also, while my Aggregator license is up to date, The Events Calendar keeps telling me I need to renew.

    A phone call would be much appreciated, as this is a business website and not displaying events is costing me money.

    Hey @jtfimprov,

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing. I’ve imported the events from your Facebook page with no problems, but we’ve already had other users reporting similar issues with the Event Aggregator service.

    We just released the latest version of The Events Calendar (4.5.9) with new fixes for Events Aggregator, so I would suggest you to update your plugins and check if the problem is solved after that.

    If the issue persists after the plugin update, please let me know and I’ll be happy to further investigate your case!

    Regards,

    Patricia

    Hi @jtfimprov,

    I’m sorry to know the plugin update didn’t help you to solve your problem!

    Can you please access your Dashboard, head over to Events -> Settings -> Licenses, remove the Event Aggregator license and click save? Then re-enter the license and save it again. Do you see any difference? Let us know.

    Also, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to import new events from Facebook? All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.

    Thanks,

    Patricia

    Hi Patricia,

    I removed the license key, saved it and then re-entered it as you instructed. Still no success. I’ve updated the plug in and really have no idea what else to do. Any assistance would be great, but a phone call in a timely manner would be really helpful. I’ve been without events for over a month now, this forum post has been going on for a week now, and I’m running a business that is dependent on event listings with 6-7 events per week!

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi @jtfimprov,

    I’m very sorry about this issue you are still experiencing. Unfortunately, we do not provide phone support, but I’ll monitor this ticket closely from now on so we can work to find out a solution as soon as possible! To summarize what we’ve been done so far:

    – Confirmed that TEC is up-to-date (version 4.5.9);
    – License removed and re-entered, but the issue persists;

    Now, can you please let me know if this issue you are experiencing is exclusively associated with Facebook imports? Can you import from other sources like .ics files or Google Calendar? Are you still getting the warning informing that you need to renew your plugin license? If you could send us any screenshots, that would be great!

    Also, did you try to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG as mentioned in my previous reply? It would be very helpful if you share with us any errors you find in this log.

    Please let me know your answers to these questions and I’ll be happy to assist you with the next steps.

    Regards,

    Patricia

    Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
