    Hello,

Originally, we wanted to have two calendars on our website (for internal & external events). I realize now that that’s not possible, however I have come up with a solution that I’m hoping will work.

Could there be one calendar, but with two filtered views? (filtered by category). The two categories being external & internal. The internal calendar will use the community events, front-end submission platform (already purchased and activated).

Now, I’ve created the two categories and set all events to external for now. I attempted to change the URL under Settings from /events/ to /events/category/external/ and I get the following error: Events URL slug must be a valid slug (numbers, letters, dashes, and underscores).

I am not sure why this is happening…could I get some assistance? Thank you!

    Hi Brent.

You’re thinking along correct lines, but you should leave the “events” slug alone.

Then you could add your own custom redirect from /events/ to /events/category/external/

and then require a certain logged-in user level to access /events/category/internal/

You’ll need to determine your best route of action to redirect (such as via a plugin or custom coding) and to control membership/access levels.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
