Cancelling events

Hi,

I’m trying to find a solution for when users need to cancel events. I’ve seen in modern tribes “suggest a feature” that it is on its way but I need a solution now!

My current plan

– users RSVP for events
– I will put a “cancel event” button somewhere that links to a simple contact form
– Then I’ll have to double check the person who sent the cancel request was the person that created the event
– then copy all the emails of people who have RSVP’d into mailchip and manually send out cancellation emails

This is a very lengthy process especially as I imagine that it may happen a lot.

Is there a way I can create a cancel button that only the event organizer can see?

Modern Tribe need to add something ASAP for cancelling events I cant imagine its only me who desperately need this!

Hi James.

Yes, there are existing feature requests for this type of functionality, and I cannot provide any additional information besides what can be found at our UserVoice site.

However, another piece of functionality you’re requesting — emailing all attendees — is in soon-to-be-released plan. I cannot provide an ETA, but I expect once it’s released, you’ll really love it.

If you do have additional feature requests that you don’t already find in our UserVoice site, please add your additional ideas there.
