GuestHi there
I have a Project that requires the booking of courses (any categories) at a number of physical locations. I understand your plugin would be suitable for that scenario.
But…
I need the courses to have multiple weekly/daily modules. EG
Course exmple name: NG
week 1 : NGC 1 – 1st Feb to the 3rd Feb
Week 2: NGC 2 – 8th Feb to the 10th Feb
Week 3: NGC Exam – 14th FebI do not need the individual modules to be bookable but I would need them to show on a calendar and be linked to each other – ie through 1 event.
Is this possible with your plugin?
Many thanks

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for reaching out. While there isn’t something within our plugin that will do exactly, precisely what you describe needing here, there are two options that would work quite well in my opinion.
The first option would be to make each of the smaller sequences their own recurring-event series. So to use the example dates you gave, you would make one event a recurring event that recurs daily Feb 1, Feb 2, and Feb 3 at the appropriate times.
Then, you would make another series for Feb 8, 9, and 10.
Then, you would make a final standalone event for Feb 14.
Then you would put all of these events into the same “event category”, and so when you view the category page, you’ll see all of the events there.
Another option here, which might be simpler and more appropriate based on your descriptions of things, would be to make one event for each module.
An event can be multiple days. So, to use your example information again:
• For the first module, make one “all day event” that starts on Feb 1, ends on Feb 3. You can add details of times and such in the “body content” of the event description.
• For the second module, make one “all day event” that starts on Feb 8, ends on Feb 10.
• The final event can just be a standalone event.
Then you can still put these all in the same category and such.
The difference between these two options is that the first on would create an event for each day. And you could specify start time and end time for each event.
Meanwhile, the second option would create just one event for each “module”, even if the module is multiple days long. The downside is that you’d have to specify the start and end times of each day’s event in the content of the event description.
These are just some ideas James. There is unfortunately not something that would meet your needs 100% in our plugins 🙁 I’m sorry about that, but I hope this information helps!
Cheers,
George
PS
To be clear, the first idea I describe above, with recurring events, would require Events Calendar Pro for the “recurring events” feature. The second option, however, is something you do NOT need Events Calendar Pro or any premium add-ons for. So you can just test out the second option directly with The Events Calendar, which is free – http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
This might be a great way to get a sense of things firsthand and see if you’ll be able to make this work.
