Can your Events Calendar &Tickets plugins integrate with a crowdfunding site?

We have a crowdfunding site and are already using the Easy Digital Downloads plugin along with WePay as the “shopping cart” for donations. We’d like to integrate ticket sales for events (each campaign creator would have the option to include an event in their campaign) and have this be able to be added to the same shopping cart as a donation and also have the ticket proceeds go towards the funding goal.

I’m a bit unclear as to whether or not your plugin would work for us? We’d need it to be activated for each individual campaign, not just our site in general.

Can you help with this development or give us some guidance as to how to make this work with our existing developer?

Hi there, Brooke! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the EDD add-on.

Good question. In short, EDD Tickets acts as a bridge between The Events Calendar and Easy Digital Delivery so that tickets can be created directly in Event posts, then sold through through EDD’s checkout process. Once an order has been completed, the customer is able to download the ticket from the confirmation screen, and is emailed a copy of the ticket as well.

That means you can create any number of tickets in each event and create as many events as you need.

I’m honestly not sure how the integration with a crowdfunding tool would work. I suppose it depends on how it interacts with EDD and whether it would allow a customer to add more items to their cart, or to contribute a donation directly from the cart.
