Can you recommend a host?

I know this is a bit off topic but this was the best place I could think of to ask.

I’m running event calendar pro on my wordpress site and everything is just so slow! I don’t think it’s event calendar at all, I think my host (GoDaddy) is just a horrible host and I need to get my WordPress site off of it ASAP. I’ve been trying to find a suitable replacement but it’s hard to get unbiased recommendations. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a shared hosting solution that is faster than what I’m using.

My experience in this is somewhat limited, but personally (for small, non-high traffic sites) I’ve used Laughing Squid (http://laughingsquid.us/) and found them to be pretty reliable. As a broader company, we’re also partial to Page.ly (http://page.ly/) and are huge fans of their philosophy and dedication to superior customer support.
