Can we change event category text colour?

For each event category under the parent, can we choose a colour, so that on the month calendar the events show in the colour for that category, for example I have Social, Sailing, fishing etc, so all my fishing events can show as green text on the calendar, all my sailing as blue and so on for easy reference?

We don’t directly offer that functionality. However, this 3rd party plugin may do what you are looking for. Do note, since it’s 3rd party, you will need to seek support from them.
