can tickets be standalone?

i am wondering if i can use the woocommerce tickets add on without the events calendar or do you need to have both?

Thanks for the interest in our plugin. WooCommerce Tickets requires the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

The reason for that is tickets can only be created in the single events editor in the admin.
