ParticipantI have tried a couple of QR code scanner apps on my iPhone 6 (QR Scanner from MinerBox and QR Reader for iPhone from TapMedia) and both of the apps just take me to the event page when I scan a ticket code. It does not check in the ticket. I have made sure I’m already signed in to my admin account on my WP/Tickets Plus site on my phone, but I still just land on the event page with no confirmation message about successful check in.
We have our first event this weekend, and I have to get the scan check in resolved. Do I need a particular QR app for iOS that works better than others?
The only thing I can think of is that both apps open the site in their internal browser rather than opening Safari. I can’t find any setting to change that within in the apps. Help!

ParticipantApparently not all QR Scanner apps are created equal. I had to try about five apps before I found i-nigma. It worked great, and was able to successfully scan and check in a ticket on my iPhone 6. I’m waiting for an Android device to test i-nigma on that platform, but fingers crossed it will be successful there as well. i-nigma from 3G Vision for those of you who are struggling to get QR scan check in to work.

MemberHi. I’m sorry you had such trouble with this, but I’m glad to hear you found a good one.
The concept is that any QR scanner that can visit a link should work because the magic happens when a user logged in to wp-admin (you) scans an attendee’s QR code, visiting that unique link is the same thing as if you were in the Attendees report and clicked “Check In” next to this person’s ticket.
We’ve also heard of people having success with webqr.com if you decide you’d like a computer-based QR reader.

Thanks.
