Can my events section use a different blog theme?

So my blog is 248am.com and my events page is currently hosted under 248am.com/events
It’s a 3 column theme right now which is fine for the main blog page but a bit tight for the events page. So I want to have another theme for my events page where I removed the second middle column. Is it possible to have the evnets page call up a different theme?

The only way I figured I could do that is setup another stand alone blog under the same domain which I could easily do but I haven’t figured out how to make the events page show up as the main page. So if I setup a second stand alone blog say at 248am.com/events then the actual events page would be under it at 248am.com/events/events which isn’t gonna work for me. I need my events page to be 248am.com/events

What you’re attempting to do I’m pretty sure isn’t possible currently, but what you could do instead is using our themer’s guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
you could just override the template used on the events page.
