    Hello,

I have been testing The Events Calendar Plugin in our dev site, and am needing to launch next week for The College of Natural Resources at NC State University. I am currently using the free version.

Another college at the university (College of Engineering) bought a unlimited site license for The Events Calendar Plugin Pro – to share with other subdomains, and sites at the university. They have been slow however to share the exact registration/ license with me – since they have to develop protocol for tracking who has this, etc.

If we launch with the free plugin – can I later enter the site license once I get it without losing any data or work?
I am concerned that events we put in might change? I have done the CSS tweaking, but also understand this css info would have to be in a new location for the paid version.

Or can we register for a year – then change the license information to be the site license ??

    Thanks!

    Hi Kristen,

Thanks for getting in touch–and great question.

Yes, you are totally able to install The Events Calendar, PRO or any of our plugins to your site now if you have them and enter the license key later. The license key provides access to automatic updates and support here in the forums, so that’s all you’ll be missing while the license key is missing. Otherwise, the functionality will remain the same and you will not lose any data.

Does this help clarify things? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Great! That is what I figured, but wanted to make sure.
