Can I test paid plug-in on different server?

Hi,

A client of mine wants to use the paid plug-in for community events. However, we would like to buy the option that has only 1 website that you can use it for.

Before I place the new website on their server, I have been working locally to make a smooth transition. My question is if I test (and set up) this add on locally will that count as my one website that I can use for the add on? Or when I transfer the site to a live server will that technically count as still one or two websites (both my local one, and my client’s)? I will simply be transferring the files from local to live.

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can answer your questions.

The license is only needed to activate automatic updates so you can use the plugin on a local site and manually update it there for testing.

Or use the license there for automatic updates and manually update your live site.
