Can I exclude private events in events-list-load-widget-display.php TEC Pro 2.x?

I can’t upgrade my TEC Pro until you guys add in attendee names/emails to wootickets, so I can’t upgrade to 3.x yet. So in ver 2.x, is it possible to exclude private events from appearing in the upcoming events widget? And for that matter, the next event widget as well?

This isn’t something that’s currently baked in, and I’m not really sure about snippet’s working with the 2.x versions. That said, you could try modifing the following example, which hides events based on the current users role, to hide events from the widget based on their published state. http://pastebin.com/JyePZWpt
