Can fields in list be removed from viewing?

    I just updated to Pro. First I apologize if this has been asked, but I couldn’t find anything.
    When viewing an event, there are two field, “category” which lists categories it’s assigned to, and “updated” when the listing was updated. Is there any way to hide those fields. I don’t really need them and they just clutter the info… thanks!

    Hi Bob – there’s a link to our There’s Guide over in the sidebar under Useful Resources. That’s packed with tips and information that might help you to do something like this.

    You would need to override and customize the single.php template (if I am understanding your question) however this shouldn’t be too difficult – you could remove the pertinent lines or comment them out.

    thanks… yeah, I might give that a try although I don’t like messing with code to much : )

    If I do this and your next upgrade comes out, I would need to make this edit again, right?

    No – if you follow the guidelines in the Themer’s Guide, and restrict any changes so that they are contained within your overridden templates, they will be completely unaffected by future updates.

    Only changes to core plugin files will be wiped following an update (hence we always advise against doing this).

    Basically you would create an “events” directory within your theme and place copies of any templates you wish to change there.
