GuestI want to use Event Tickets Plus to have people register for courses. In some cases, the person has to actually APPLY to get into the course and then they only get in if they’re accepted.
Is there any way to handle this so that they register via ETP but then don’t actually pay until after they’re accepted?
In the ideal scenario, we’d take their credit card information but not charge them until/unless they’re accepted. But I’m also open to other options like maybe a private ticket that they can only purchase if we’ve approved them.
Thanks,

Guestit just occurred to me that in addition to deferring payment – the registration shouldn’t count as a ticket sale yet (e.g., against the total # of tickets available) until it’s been approved. Is that possible? Thanks!

MemberGood questions, Abby!
The real answer will likely come from which ecommerce system is being used with Event Tickets Plus. The plugin allows you to create tickets, but the actual transaction process (and inventory management) is in the ecommerce systems being used.
That said, I know that WooCommerce will allow you to manually approve all transactions before they are fully processed.
At the same time, however, a pending payment will indeed reduce the ticket stock. That avoids situations that could lead to sell more tickets that are actually available.
Does this help answer your question? Let me know if you have any others and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

ParticipantSo this achieved using Events Pro with the WooCommerce Tickets plugin?

MemberHi @caldiatech and thanks for chiming in!
Event Tickets Plus works with PRO just as WooCommerce Tickets did–the glaring exception being the support of recurring events, of course. That is something we’re working on though. 🙂

ParticipantOK, I still don’t see any way with Events Pro to create a ticket that would be something an admin can approve and process at a later date. In our case, they run seminars…but often times people cancel at the last minute and they have to refund payments at a loss of 3%. They want to hold all the sign ups until the day of the event and then batch process them all at once.
Also, I put in another ticket…we have licenses for Events Pro, WooCommerce Tickets and Event Tickets Plus…but it’s clear we don’t need Event Tickets Plus. I’d like to kill that and then but the Business License for the other two.
