GuestOkay, this is not really a pre-sale question, since the organization I’m working with has already bought and installed your plugin…
But I’m the guy who is now trying to figure out how to make it do what they want.
So… this organization has one building with 10 meeting rooms (I suspect that each room can be treated as a separate venue).
Some of the events are public—anyone should be able to see these and sign up (and pay) for them.
Most of the events are private—only staff should be able to see these events. There is no need for people to sign up or pay for these. It is only important that they see that the room is being used and who is using it.There are about 30 staff people who should all be able to create events and choose a room. They should be able to change or delete any event that they create—but not one created by anyone else. They should be warned/denied if they try to create an event that double-books a room.
There are 2 or 3 people who should be able to change or delete any event created by anyone.
So can Event Calendar Pro be configured to do this?

ParticipantHey Don,
The core of your question is described here:
They should be able to change or delete any event that they create—but not one created by anyone else.
If you create user accounts on your site whose user role is set to “Author”, then these accounts can create their own events, but cannot edit anyone else’s. They can view the events of other authors in the admin, of course, but cannot edit any events other than ones they have created themselves.
They should be warned/denied if they try to create an event that double-books a room.
↑ This aspect of your goals is unfortunately not something our plugins can handle at this time. There is now way to do this with our plugins out-of-the-box. 🙁
Sorry to disappoint on that second part! I hope this helps though.
Cheers,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
