ParticipantI’ve seen a couple forum threads regarding the WooCommerce Follow-up Emails extension and its claimed integration with Events Calendar / Event Tickets Plus. In some cases it sounded like the email triggers were not working as expected or at all.
Can anyone confirm that the integration works as expected?
My concerns are:
- If the emails are triggered by the purchase of an even ticket in a certain category, is the Follow-ups extension looking at the Ticket’s categories, or the associated Event’s categories? When Event Tickets Plus generates tickets for an event, the event’s categories/tags are not applied to the ticket/product
- If multiple tickets are purchased, are multiple emails sent to the purchaser by the Follow-ups extension? Or is only one email triggered per customer?
- If multiple tickets are purchased, are there any plugins or extensions that can allow the purchaser to enter separate email addresses for the attendees they have purchased tickets for? Essentially creating new “customers” that can be emailed Ticket and Follow-up emails.
I’m sure there are many other ECP and ETP users out there that have wanted an automated email correspondence system for their event attendees and ticket purchasers. If there’s anyone that has devised an effective system, whether through a plugin or custom code, your suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Cheers!

MemberHi Jarrod.
We have a Compatibility with WooCommerce Extensions KB article that may shed some light.
I know I’ve heard of some of our customers using that specific extension, but I’m not sure in what ways they integrated it.
We definitely know you and other customers would benefit from a tightly-integrated way to communicate event information with subscribers/ticket purchasers, and I believe our strategy/development teams are working hard toward that effort (nothing from us anytime soon, just an FYI for now).
Let me know if you run into any snags if you do give this extension a try.
