I got a website which could not switch the calendars month to month when I updated the WP language to Chinese. If the WP language change it back to US, everything is working fine.
So I am wondering whether it’s language issue that affected. Thanks

    Hello mobilmike,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Can I get some more info? Are you using a language file, or WPML?

Also, could you point me to direct links that would be great, I couldn’t find any events on your site.

    Thanks!

    Dear Casey,
    Please visit http://bbable.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month
I changed the language through wp-config.php to define (‘WPLANG’, ‘zh_TW’); and the calendar stop working with month to month action. But if I change it back to US, it will work again.

    Thanks

    Hello mobilmike,

I tested this on my site and I am not able to reproduce the problem. I do see on your site that it is hanging though.

Could you try deactivating all your other plugins to see if the problem persists?

    Thanks!

    Hi Casey,
I did try few time fresh installation the wordpress with The Events Calendar (no any other plugin installed). It works fine for en_US language. But when I change the wp_config.php to zh_TW. It hangs the loading to another month.
I figured out the rewrite may got a problem. When I click the next month URL. It will return the URL like this http://bbable.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month&eventDate=2014-08?tribe-bar-date=2014-08 with the following error:
    PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (2014-08?tribe-bar-date=2014-08-01) at position 7 (?): Unexpected character’ in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\lib\the-events-calendar.class.php:3564 Stack trace: #0 C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\lib\the-events-calendar.class.php(3564): DateTime->__construct(‘2014-08?tribe-b…’) #1 C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\public\template-tags\month.php(291): TribeEvents->previousMonth(‘2014-08?tribe-b…’) #2 C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\public\template-tags\month.php(250): tribe_get_previous_month_link() #3 C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\views\month\nav.php(22): tribe_events_the_previous_month_link() #4 C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\public\templa in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bbable.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\lib\the-events-calendar.class.php on line 3564

See if it helps to sort out the bug?
    Thanks.

    Hello mobilmike,

Thanks for the info. This may be a larger bug, but we’re not sure. There may be a configuration issue with your Windows server.

Could I get information about your server set up? Operating System and Server Software versions?

In the WP-Admin, at the bottom of the Events > Settings > Help tab, there will be a ‘systems settings’ box. Can you also copy that and paste it into a private reply?

    Thanks!

    Hello mobilmike,

There doesn’t seem to be any problems with your server, not that we can see off hand.

We are curious about the link in your previous reply, was this just a typo?

    http://bbable.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month&eventDate=2014-08?tribe-bar-date=2014-08

Every url should only have one question mark. That second question mark should be an ampersand ‘&’. Where was the url taken from, the ‘next month’ link? I’m still not able to reproduce the problem.

    Hello mobilmike,

I think that is probably best, sorry it didn’t work out!

It looks like I’ve already refunded your account and responded to your email request.

    Cheers!
