ParticipantIs there anyway I can display the calendar on a separate wordpress page? I know you can add widgets and shortcodes (mini calendars) but they don’t seem to come in the same format as the standard calendar page (I need the “photo view” calendar). I’ve tried placing the code from the plugin onto a custom page but have had no luck.
Could you please help me find a solution. I was under the impression such a simple & necessary customization function would be included in a premium plugin.

MemberHi Nathan. You can choose Photo View as your default view if that’s what you’re wanting.
Or you can just link to the link that gets created automatically (e.g. example.com/events/photo)
As far as displaying or embedding the Photo view in a WordPress page, that’s not one of our features. Sorry if that’s what you’re wanting. However, you might search our UserVoice ideas site and see if you find something to vote for or any new ideas to suggest.
Thank you.

ParticipantGreat… well that’s no good then. I just wanted to display the default calendar (example.com/events/photo) on my homepage. Voting won’t help as I need a solution soon, not ‘maybe’ in a few months time.
Really cannot believe this isn’t a standard feature, I’ll have to keep struggling through the source code for my own solution I suppose.

MemberWe’ve had a lot of requests for the ability to render the full calendar on any page via shortcode, which I think would be one way to accomplish what you’re wanting (home page as event calendar). That link shows the status as “Started”, but I know it’s a huge project so I don’t believe it’s coming anytime soon enough for your current needs. It’s essentially been accepted and put on our developers’ to-do list (I don’t know it’s progress, if any), but there’s no timeline I can provide you regarding it’s expected release date.
One workaround we’ve seen quite a few people use is to redirect your home page to your Events URL. That’s what we currently do for our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/ redirects to http://wpshindig.com/events/
Please let me know if there’s anything more I can help with.
