This is a post purchase question – here is the scenario.
Client teaches yoga classes. Schedule is fluid – ticket options and prices are not. I don’t want to add more than (4) events per month to the calendar due to the likelihood of reschedule or cancellation. By default, when creating an event and adding a “new ticket”, the ticket is created in WooCommerce as product type “ticket” – On to my stupid question:
How do I avoid creating duplicate ticket products if I want to use the same (4) ticket types each month? Is there some shortcode I can use under “add new ticket”, tied to the product ID?
Sorry in advance – hope it makes sense
Yes, I think that makes sense – you basically want to create a set of WooCommerce products and use and re-use them to sell tickets to events (whereas WooTickets will create a new product every time you create a new ticket) … is that correct?
Correct Barry. Since event dates change from week to week and the products (tickets) do not, I am forced to create the same tickets over and over. Example:
Event: Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga
Date: Wednesday, July 3, 2013
Tickets:
Single Admission with board provided $XX
Single Admission with no board provided $XX
The same class might occur two or three days later, or the next week and so on. The event “tickets”, or products for purchase will never change.
OK. Right now that isn’t possible with WooTickets – at least not without diving into some custom coding. We’re definitely open to feedback though and it could be worth posting this on our UserVoice page:
