Calendar Widget only shows first "" and no option to show more

this is more of a request since I don’t think it exists. The LIST EVENTS widget allow us to see ALL events at the bottom of the events that you ask it to show. why doesn’t the Calendar Widget?

Hi, Karen. This is a great question. 🙂

As far as I can see, the list widget allows up to 10 events to be displayed. The Calendar widget allows you to fill in the number that you choose. Are you seeing something else?

It’s not that. In the LIST widget there is an option to SHOW ALL EVENTS where it takes you to a DAY view. CALENDAR has not such thing. You see 5 events or however many you choose and you are stuck with it.

Hi, Karen. I think I understand what you’re getting at now.

The calendar widget is designed as a complete calendar, for the sidebar. I supposed you could modify the widget to add a link to the main calendar page using a template override, but the whole idea behind it is that you click on individual days to see the events for that day.

Yes, I do not want to see all 25 events for a day in the calendar . so I would need a link to the main Calendar. “LINK” .. Lightbulb goes off. I suppose I could add a text widget after the calendar with the link in it. thanks!

Great idea, Karen! Sometimes, the simplest solutions are indeed the best ones.
