I’m in the same boat. Noticed today that the calendar was not displaying the events anymore and the key has expired in July.
Looks like a bug when key are expired it stops displaying.
I would appreciate any help to fix that issue and get the event system to work again. thank you.

So sorry about the conflict. Our team announced a hotfix, which resolves an issue related to the display of events in the default Month View. This issue (https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/41496) was introduced with WordPress version 4.8.2 and impacts all previous versions of The Events Calendar–all users are encouraged to update as soon as possible. No other changes were made to any other areas of the plugin, and we apologize to anyone who might have been affected by this issue.
https://theeventscalendar.com/hotfix-the-events-calendar-4-5-12-3/.
Since then, we’ve also released our regularly scheduled maintenance release. https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-18-september-2017/. Please run the latest updates. The Events Calendar 4.5.13 will resolve your issues I believe.
Please update and let us know if this resolves your issues.
Thanks

I have run the updates and the Month view is displaying the events correctly now.
I now have an other issue following those updates that have appeared. All the events are now redirecting to the homepage. I have flushed many times the permalinks, tried in the settings of the events calendar to change the slugs, cleared browser and site cache, deactivate the event calendar plugin but it doesn’t work.
It is happening only for the event calendar plugin, our other plugins populate correctly their slugs pages.
Looking forward to some advice and help on solving that issue.
Thank you

We’re a bit limited in what we can support in the pre-sales forum. I’ll take a quick look, but do encourage you to also post on https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar.
Can you share a link to your website?
Thanks

When you go to Events » Settings » General » Events URL slug, what do you have listed? Do you have any other redirect plugins installed?
Thanks
