ParticipantI had to do some bug investigation and deactivated Events Calendar Pro. After reactivating it, I’m just seeing the word CONTENT on the /events/ url. I have tried deactivating and reactivating again as well as refreshing the permalinks to no avail. I’ve even tried changing themes to 2012/14. All my events are still present – any ideas?

ParticipantHey Rob,
What was the bug you were investigating earlier, if you don’t mind sharing that information? Just curious, that might be relevant here.
Also, do you happen to have any Pages in your admin that are named Events? Or even that once were named Events? If so, I’d recommend wholly deleting this page – that means moving it to Trash, but then additionally going to the Trash and clicking “Delete Permanently”.
Let me know if you find any such pages and if deleting them helps!

ParticipantI’ve tried that – now getting a 404 error.
In terms of my investigations earlier, the theme I’m using allows custom sidebars which didn’t seem to be working and I realised that it was Events Calendar not being a real page that was the issue (I had been trying to use the theme’s own custom sidebars and WooTheme’s custom sidebar plugin)…

ParticipantOk – after a few more hours I’ve done the following (purging the cache and refreshing permalinks at each stage). Deleted all pages but the homepage, switched off all plugins except the FREE Events Calendar Plugin, deleted both Events Calendar plugins and re-installed them. I now have no other plugins but Varnish Purge and the Events calendar active on the site (free version – kept PRO deactivated for now to limit possibilities). I have checked the Events Calendar display settings which are set to ‘events’ and ‘event’. The following url still gives me a 404 error: http://www.eastlife.ooh-websites.co.uk/events/ help!!

ParticipantOk – finally managed to sort this out – deactivated all plugins again (backed up site) and reinstalled WordPress core – on activating the plugins again, it’s all come back online. Phew!
