Calendar not showing when post archives change format

My wordpress theme has an option to change the format of my blog page from a single list of all post with full body of the post and several other formats, such as double column, pinterest type wall. If i change my blog page to these other settings double column, pinterest or anything other than the full post my event calender page only shows a block of words at the top of the page. How can I fix that? I think the posts are considered archives within the site and am afraid the calendar is also considered archive, or possibly they are both considered posts and I can’t figure out how to change this so my blog posts look nicer and still have a calendar.

Thanks so much for reaching out!

The calendar is indeed considered and treated as an archive page.  So unfortunately you may need to adjust things accordingly.

One thing I would recommend playing around with are the stylesheets and page templates that are being using for the calendar pages, and see if that helps you to get closer to achieving the layout that you are looking for:
