ParticipantAfter upgrading to any version of The Events Calendar higher than 4.6.20.1, the calendar no longer switches to the mobile mini calendar on mobile devices when displaying month view. Instead, the full desktop calendar is displayed. While not an issue in itself, it means the calendar will not work correctly with the third party category colours plugin on mobile devices.
I have tried:
1. Disabling all other plugins.
2. Switching our theme to the default Twenty Seventeen theme.
3. Removing and re-installing the plugin. Can you assist? I have attached screengrabs of what I am referring to, plus the behaviour can be seen on our live website at https://rtyc.org

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂
I visited your website (https://rtyc.org/events) but didn’t notice any problem with your mobile view. Did you switch back to a previous version of our plugin? Or did you get this problem on a page other than https://rtyc.org/events? If so, did you use a shortcode (and which one?).
Cheers,

ParticipantAre you looking on month view? Because it is clearly not displaying correctly in month view. It even does not display correctly in a desktop browser if you make the window very narrow it does not switch to the mobile view as your demo site does.

KeymasterHi,
Sorry, I hadn’t seen the problem in the first place but now I realized your calendar doesn’t behave correctly on smaller screens.
How did you create this page? Did you use a shortcode? If so, which shortcode did you use?
Thanks in advance,

ParticipantHi,
I didn’t create the page, it’s the standard calendar page the plugin creates when you install it.
If I roll back to plugin v4.6.20.1 or prior of The Events Calendar then the mobile view works fine, anything later and it’s messed up.
Thanks.

KeymasterHi,
Could you confirm that, in Events > Settings > Display, “Default stylesheet used for events templates” is set to “Full”?
If this setting is changed to “Tribe Events Styles”, could you confirm you see dots instead of the events’ titles?
If that’s the case, it’s a known bug that our developers are working now at the moment. The bug fix should be part of the very next maintenance release.
I’m going to set this thread as “Pending fix” so that we could warn you as soon as the problem is resolved.

ParticipantYes, it is set to “Full” and setting it to “Tribe Events Styles” does see the return of the dots. I’ll wait for the fix.

MemberHi Michael!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for this issue 🙂
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-9-september-2018/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
