David
ParticipantI have selected Calendar as the Default view for events. When I click on Calendar in my menu, it goes to the page with the events, but lists the events, and does not show the calendar. This has been like this since I installed this product. I added a discussion about this a long time a go, but got no resolution. I have checked my permalinks, I have deactivated other plugins and other things to try to resolve this, but nothing. Now when I select an individual event, the buttons of the template go all the way across the page. It is not working correctly.
Here is the site: http://www.stoneridgechristian.com
Here is a link that shows I am selecting Calendar for Default view:

Please advise. I would finally really like to make this work as advertised!May 23, 2012 at 3:38 pm #19626Jonah
ParticipantHi David,
Sorry to hear you didn’t get this resolved before. My apologies that we didn’t follow up…
It looks like it might just be an issue of where you’re linking to in your menu: http://stoneridgechristian.com/?post_type=tribe_events – instead of http://stoneridgechristian.com/calendar/
It won’t make any difference what the setting is set to if you’re manually linking to the URL of the post type because that will always show the list.
For the other issue, try changing your Events Template option in Settings > The Events Calendar > Template
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,

ParticipantOkay, that sounded great, until I went in to see if I could affect that change. I have no idea where to change this. It is not eveident. If you can tell me where to do that, that would be great. When you say I need to link to the above mentioned URL, it is not clear where to do that.
However, when I go in and look at The Events Calendar Settings, I see where it says Events URL slug. It says my current Events URL is: http://stoneridgechristian.com/calendar/
as you have stated that I should not be linking to this in my menu (though I have no idea how you link to it in the menu??). But… When I click on that link right there in that settings screen, it takes me to the actual calendar, not the list! Why is that? And… after clciking on Calendar in my menu (which takes me to the list–not the calendar) the URL that shows in the browser is: http://stoneridgechristian.com/?post_type=tribe_events
Which is what you are telling me above is supposed to take me to the calendar.
Confused? Yes! Please clarify!
Thanks,

ParticipantFor the second issue, you say:
try changing your Events Template option in Settings > The Events Calendar > Template
Okay… change it to what? It’s like you didn’t finish your sentence.May 23, 2012 at 10:49 pm #19668David
ParticipantOkay, I changed teh Events Template to Full Width and that seemed to solve the second problem. Just need to figure out the calendar vs list issue!

ParticipantHi David,
Sorry for not being more clear. I’m not sure how you have your menu setup but if you’re using WordPress built in custom menus you should be able to go to Appearance > Menus. Then, just change the link for the Calendar menu item to /calendar/ instead of /?post_type=tribe_events
If you’re not using WordPress custom menus you’ll need to figure out how your menu has been setup in your theme and how to change it because I cannot help you with that.
I hope that helps,
