ParticipantI ve just launched a new site and it appears that all of viewsthat are calendars (not list) are not working. Ive reset permalinks a couple of times- flushed cache- with no luck
From the settings page the calendar should be at
http://rockportartassn.org/events/ which doesnt work neither does http://rockportartassn.org/wp/events/However a url with the category slug in it does work for example
http://rockportartassn.org/wp/events/category/workshops/upcoming/ though if you change to calendar view it doesn’t
http://rockportartassn.org/events/category/workshops/month/
Also it was all running fine yesterday when wordPress was running directly from the /wp/ folder- he issue didn’t happen until I changed over the site url to be the site rootApril 7, 2014 at 3:15 pm #129204Barry
MemberHi! Can you confirm you still need help with this? So long as the /wp/ segment is present in the URL everything seems to work as expected, best I can tell (but please don’t hesitate to clarify if I’m mistaken).

ParticipantBarry yes I still do. I had changed it back for the day so that it would function- Ive set it back the way it was when i initially submitted and the calendar is 404 again as I explained in my initial post. WordPress is installed in the /wp/ directory. I typically do install this way and then following the instructions at
https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
set it to appear to run from the site rootApril 8, 2014 at 10:19 am #129572Barry
MemberIt should work – and I’ve used a similar setup myself a number of times.
Can you visit the Permalink Settings page, confirm everything there is correct and hit update? That might help to refresh to rewrite rules table. With that done, see if the events page is accessible as expected.

ParticipantYeah ive done that a few times, and did it just again now
If I change it back to its default setting, this url works as expected.

but not when i use custom structure /%postname%/April 9, 2014 at 10:18 am #130096Barry
MemberHmm, very strange. Could something else be impacting here – have you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme (then repeat the permalink settings trick)? Does that have any effect on the problem at all?

ParticipantArgh- I figured it out there was a file event.htm left over from the previous iteration of the site sitting in the root that was causing the issue. I deleted it and all is good.
