    Hi,

We have purchased your event calendar plug-in and are using it on our website (www.mountbakerexperience.com) I know that a user is able to export the calendar of events to iCal and from iCal one is able to export an .ics file. However, what you get isn’t very useful for our purposes. We need a cleaner export. (See example below.)

What we’d like to do is either be able to import events from a text file or be able to export events into a text file. The reason why is, we have print editions of our various publications. These pubs also carry an events calendar so we’d like to be able to have a single point of entry for events. For example, we could enter all events into your plug-in and then later export these for use in print. Alternatively, we could enter all events into a text document and then import them into the plug-in. We’d prefer entering into the plug-in.

Is there a way to do that which we are unaware of or, do you anticipate being able to offer this functionality in the future. I would think other people would also find this a useful function.

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Pat

    Hi Pat,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

I can try to give you some information about your request.

So you are looking to do this correct:

What we’d like to do is either be able to import events from a text file or be able to export events into a text file.

I afraid we do not have either feature.

We have a CSV Import or our Facebook Import.

You can always use WordPress’s Export/Import, but that is in XML format.

We are working on an iCal Importer, but I do not have a timetable for the release of that.

If you would like to request these features please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.

    Thanks
