    Hello,

we have a problem with the ics export of events which last several days. Lets take an example: An all day event, that starts on 2017-06-06 and ends 2017-06-16 is correctly shown in the backend and frontend (see https://www.clg-laupheim.de/event/pfingstferien/). In the attached ics file we find DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20170616. At first glance this seams to be good, but in this case other calendars (e.g. thunderbird) take 2017-06-15 as enddate. I found the hint, that the iCalendar standard requires publishing the day *after* the the last day of a multi-day event (exclusive end date).

Furthermore I believe, that CREATED and LAST-MODIEFIED need a complete declaration with date and time.

    Thanks for any advice
    Grischa

    Hi Grischa,

Last week we released a hotfix for the iCal importer. Please update your plugin and check if that solves your issue.

Let me know and if it’s still there we dig further. We will get this resolved. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello,

we don’t use the iCal importer.

All events are insert manually in the event calendar pro of wordpress. The representation in the frontend of wordpress is correct.

The problem are only the export files. We use a calendar-feed (https://www.clg-laupheim.de/events/?ical=1&year-feed ) to export the events into other systems as moodle. Some users use other export files like the regular month export https://www.clg-laupheim.de/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=month

In all this cases most events are correctly exported. Only events which take several days and are all day long (without start an end time) are wrong.

    Hallo Grischa,

I apologize, the iCal importer thing was my mistake. Sometimes in the heat of support things get a bit mixed up.

I talked with our developers and it looks like this is a glitch on our part. I have already created an internal bug ticket for this, so it should be fixed pretty soon, however I cannot commit any fixed dates. I ask for a bit of patience from you.

Since there is nothing more at the moment we can do about this, I am going to close this ticket to new replies as a ‘pending fix’, but the issue is still open and we will update this ticket once the fix arrives.

If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and reference this one. We’ll be here to help.

Thanks and have a wonderful day,

    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
