ParticipantThe events calendar has disappeared from our site. The plugin is still there and shows to be active but nothing shows up when we go to the events page.

ParticipantHowdy Nathan,
That’s crazy! I definitely will help you get to the bottom of this.
To start with would you mind sharing your system information? You can grab it paste it here. Make sure to use the ‘Set as private reply’ checkbox to protect your private information from the public. You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the ‘System Information’ box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help) That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Also, have you tried a conflict test yet? This guide walks you through how to test for a conflict, and then identify what is conflicting.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi, any advice on this issue?

ParticipantHowdy Nathan,
Sorry I missed your last response! Your system information did reveal something interesting, it contains no events slug. That is extremely odd, but probably easy to correct.
- If you go to WP-Admin > Events > Settings and scroll down to the field “Events URL slug”, what do you see? Is it blank?
- If so, can you set it to “events” and the field beneath it to “event” which are the defaults.
- Scroll down and hit Save.
- Now in your WP Admin toolbar hover over Events then click View Calendar. Does the calendar appear now?
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Brook,
I looked at the settings and the events URL slug was there and set to “events.” When I ran through the conflict test, I noticed that when I switched my theme to 2015 WordPress, the events calendar show up and when I go back to activating just my theme, the calendar disappears; however, we have a duplicate sister site in Chinese with the same theme and plugin and yet that site seems to have no conflict going on (chinese.whcchome.org/events). Any assistance is appreciated!Nathan

ParticipantHmm that’s very interesting. Thanks for getting back.
I wonder if it could be related to the Page Template. If you go to WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Display you will see a drop down to select which page template you are using. Could you try a different one, hit apply, and see if that corrects this? If not, coudl you try applying each template in that drop down one at a time and see if any of them work?

ParticipantThanks, Brooke! That worked – I don’t know how it was changed to the “full-width” template but I changed it back to the default events template and it’s now up and functional. I appreciate it!
