Hi, I’m trying to build a website over the weekend and need to buy a calendar plugin. I’m debating between your PRO calendar and another calendar called time.ly. This site uses their calendar: http://calendar.bctia.org/
What I need is an option to show categories on the calendar page, so that people can choose the type of event. Once they choose it from the categories event, I want the calendar to refresh and show only these events. Is it possible with your calendar? Please let me know ASAP.

Filtering by category is a commonly requested feature that we don’t currently have in place. However, we have been working on adding this feature even to the point of having a coming-soon page over at https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-events-filter-bar/.
It sounds like that would provide the functionality you’re looking for. But I am sorry if it doesn’t meet your timelines.
