    Hi, quick question…

I am trying to build a wordpress website with an events calendar, but synced with my own desktop calendar.

I am a Church admin and have to maintain a desktop calendar. I’d like to only have to enter events once, instead of first adding them all on the desktop and then adding them on the website.

I was thinking of using calDAV on our web server to do this. Is that something which Events Calendar can support? Or can you think of any way to reduce the workload?

    Kind regards,
    Lee.

    Hi Lee,

Happy Monday and I hope you had a great weekend!

Have you seen our iCal Importer add-on? I think this is worth checking out because it allows you to take the URL of a hosted calendar (.ics) file and automatically import the events in it into WordPress and The Events Calendar. I have to be honest that I do am quite unfamiliar with calDAV, but if the file is hosted on a server and a URL is available, then this might be the best bet.

Another option would be to use something like Google Calendar to manage your events. That would allow you to publish them once, then perhaps import to both your calDAV server and to WordPress in one fell swoop. 🙂

Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know.

    Thanks!
    Geoff
