I am managing a Non-profit organization website. I recently purchased and installed the “Events Ticket Plus”. I need to customize the button that says “Buy Now” to “Donate”. Please assist, thank you.

    Hi Erwin

Can you check out https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/ as a way to modify any string of text?

Let me know if this works for you.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hello Courtney,
Thanks for the advise, I just read the article and I haven’t applied the script yet on the Theme’s function.php. But, I was thinking… if I do that thru the function.php, will it change all buttons across the board within the website. In the future, I will be building a page in the same website a eCommerce page selling products where the “Donate Now” button will not be applicable. In short, I just need the “Donate Now” text to change specific only to the event ticket plus. Please advise, thanks.

    Hi Erwin,

I did want to do the same. I managed to fix this with the free Loco Translate Plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Dennis

    Hey Erwin

I can kick this request back to the team to see if we can isolate that for just our plugin. I’ll update you on what I find.

You could also test out https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/ to see if that can isolate the text.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hey Erwin & Dennis

If you opt to go with Say What and are using Tribe Commerce, here are the suggested changes:

    Single event view
    Original string: Buy now
    Text domain: event-tickets
    Text context: (leave empty)
Replacement string: Donate now (or as you want it)

    List view:
    Original string: Buy Now!
    Text domain: event-tickets
Text context: list view buy now ticket button
Replacement string: Donate now (or as you want it)

Note the ‘Original string’ is case- and whitespace-sensitive. It needs to be exactly like the original string

Please let me know if these work for you.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂
