I noticed that bundling tickets cannot be done via tri.be wootickets.
For example, I’ve got a 4 class event, where classes can be purchased individually or in bulk via a grouped product in woocommerce where that grouped product is a group of all 4 individual tickets.

If the ticket is purchased normally through the event it records the order fine and shows the attendee and order listed under the event’s attendee area of tri.be event area.

However, when the tickets are purchased as part of the bundle, it does not show the order or attendee in the proper area. It doesn’t show at all under event attendees. It does show that a ticket has been purchased in the color box showing how many tickets sold, but the order does not show up below that with the attendee info.

This is either a miscalculation in report firing or it just can’t be done.
If the latter, you might consider adding this since the ticket can be sold – it’s just not reporting correctly.

Any ideas on how to do this better?

    Hello Craig, welcome back. 🙂

If I’m understanding you correctly, there is currently no support for reporting sales of a bundled WooCommerce product. That would require the ability to “package” events together as well, which isn’t a feature. If you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your vote for this feature in our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases as they collect votes.

You can attach different ticket packages to the same event. I know that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but having the same four-day pass on each event would show the attendees and the report the sales in both areas.

Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!

    Cheers!

Thanks Geoff. I’m not sure if you’re asking something else or responding.
Basically, i’m saying that woo allows for any product to be bundled. Which means I can bundle tickets.
But if i do that, reporting doesnt work inside events calendar attendees area.
If that’s correct, and it does not currently work, then I’m suggesting it be added.

    Thanks.

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, you are correct and that is not currently a feature we support. I still highly encourage you to add your vote for this feature over at our UserVoice forum.

That said, we are currently hard at work on a 2.0 version of the WooTickets add-on and it will be a major overhaul. I think you’ll see a lot of positive changes in that release.

    Thanks!

    Hi Craig,
I am completing development on a site that has a similar situation and we were able to solve this using the WooCommerce Product Bundles plugin. With this plugin, you can create a WooCommerce product bundle and specify the individual products (aka: tickets) to include. Doing it this way does result in accurate attendee lists as technically the person has purchased each of the items included in the bundle (though the price may be set at the bundle level). Hope that helps!

@sportsaudio, thanks for the note, though your resolve has not been my experience.
I have experience with product bundles and tried in this scenario – it was the impetus for my support comment.
product bundles used with tickets/events records the information and deducts ticket stock. True. But the attendee info never get sent to events calendar meta and can’t be used to check in attendees or to print an events attendee list as normal through ECP.
It can be found through woo, but that’s a more laborious effort, and doesn’t help with auto attendee checkin.

Thanks for your note though. I think this should be added to the list of functions in ECPro as it is a situation I’m sure other events calendar owners have run into.

I already submitted it as a feature request.

Thanks for the heads up, spotstudio! Sounds like that could be an effective way to go as far as bundling products together.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread since it seems we’ve covered the original topic, but please feel free to hit us back up if any other questions pop up. 🙂

    Cheers!
