ParticipantIf this is already covered in forum I am not finding it, so point me in the correct direction. A while back there was a free offer for non-profits to get event calendar etc. One of the photos in the ad on Facebook showed a snapshot of events calendar that had a different colored bar in front of each individual event for the day (a bullet would work as well) How and where is this done? I am assuming it is in the html code somewhere, but I cannot find how to get into that code within the events calendar. I am hoping it is some easy setting I am missing and can be done without code, but I do have someone who can help me with the code if I knew where to find it. I am in a public library and would like very much to place a different color by events in order to designate programs for different ages. Also somewhat related, is there anyway to put a picture on the days that do not have events or in the spaces at the beginning or end of the month? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ParticipantOk, I just found how to SEE the html, but would still like a bit more info about HOW and WHERE to alter it for color bars etc. I don’t want to mess up “the big calendar” trying to add a bar. Also still wondering if I am missing a setting that will do this automatically somehow. (that would be a wonderful added feature if it is not already available) The calendar would be so much easier to read with some sort of highlighting of each daily event. Our calendar is very informative but not very attractive. In addition, still interested in if it is possible to insert photos into certain days, or in the space before the beginning of the month are at the end. Thanks.

ModeratorJan, have you looked at The Events Calendar Category Colors plugin in the WP repo? It might solve your problem.

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion, Andy!
Jan, thanks for the note. I think this is the post you’re referring to: https://theeventscalendar.com/non-profits/. If so, you’re welcome to get in touch with the individual non-profits and ask them about their customizations. Unfortunately, it’s not something that we can help you with, but I would guess that their developers could!
Also, I’d definitely encourage you to check out Andy’s great plugin. That’s likely to be the simplest solution. Please give it a try and let us know how it goes for you! 🙂

ParticipantAndy, Thanks for your suggestion. Could you give me some directions on how I obtain or access the Events Calendar Category Colors plugin in the WP repo? I looked around a bit, but I am not finding anything like that. Thanks for any help.
