Bulk Update of Additional Fields

Hi there,
I would like to be able to do a bulk update of two additional fields I have created. Please can you let me know if there is a way of doing this.

The scenario is that I am use the iCal importer to automatically bring in events from Google Calendar. This is working really well and they are automatically published. However, they all need the same values in two additional fields I have created. At the moment I have to go in to each on manually which is a shame as everything else is automated. If I could update lots of them at the same time then that would save lots of time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Phil,

Welcome back to the forums 🙂

I’m sure there are many ways to go about achieving what you describe, but the way I would approach it would most likely by running an SQL query (back up your database!) or by adding a snippet into my theme’s functions.php file. Take a look at the WP Codex Update Post Meta documentation on how to update post meta.
